School and Life Updates

by Daniel Hohler on Feb.03, 2010, under Medical, Personal, Website

I’m headed to Warner Robbins for PCOM-GA aka GAPCOM. Should be interesting. I will be working at a hospital which is what I wanted to do. Seems like my legal career has slowed down some which is awesome.

GreenOptions is going through some changes. Virgance is selling off GreenOptions while retaining the 2 most viewed blogs. Don’t know what is going to happen with my writing “career” or the book at this moment. I shot the new editor a lot of ideas on how to make the relaunch successful, and frankly I really have not been working on the book at all. PCOM has taken up all my time lately.

I have also started re-publishing all my articles here. So they can be saved for an eternity. :)

Lottery is today. Lottery is picking where I want to spend the next year of my life. No pressure. My friends birthday is today. Will be going out later to celebrate. I think I might date a model. Being a child model myself. I know how the biz works :-)

Tree Roots

Daniel Hohler is a graduate of University of Southern California with a degree in Biology and Anthropology with a minor in Cinema Production. He graduated as a Renaissance Scholar. The Renaissance Scholars program honors students whose broad interests help them excel academically. Like his hero Leonardo da Vinci, who was equally adept in the arts and the sciences, Renaissance Scholars are students whose majors and minors are from widely separated fields of study.

While at USC, Daniel attended Wrigley Institute of Environmental Studies located on Catalina Island where he did environmental research and marine biology. He wrote his thesis on Dominance Cues that Lead to Sex Change in Lythrypnus dalli, a small hermaphroditic fish. Preparing for Catalina Daniel became a Rescue Diver, and while at the Wrigley Institute Daniel also became a certified Master Diver and Scientific Diver. He continues to volunteer at the USC Hyperbarric Chamber on Catalina Island, an emergency medical facility for the treatment of scuba diving accidents.

As an anthropologist Daniel has spent time studying primate social behavior. Studying at the USC Jane Goodall Research Center, where he studied under Professor Amy Parrish, one of the worlds leading experts on bonobos, among other great minds in anthropology. He has studied both gorillas and chimpanzees, and their social interactions, and hZe Hydrogen Psycosise has volunteered for Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots Program to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs and to inspire each individual to take action to make the world a better place for people, animals and the environment.

Daniel currently attends medical school at PCOM Georgia Campus (aka PCOM-GA, aka GAPCOM) where he hopes to continue his educational pursuits. He hopes to update everyone on the process of going through medical school here on the site. A long supporter of the environment and animals, Daniel has also become a writer and a blogger for an environmental activism network GreenOptions.
